Sayed Ibrahim, a former World Bank employee, was relocated from Sudan to the US in 1991 to pursue further work-related studies, with the intention of returning. However, with all the political turmoil in Sudan, he stayed in the US where he completed a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry. While enrolled as a student, Sayed was already working part-time for the Colgate-Palmolive Company in New Jersey.
As time went on, he longed to start his own business, but he needed to ensure that it in no way affected his current position due to the strict company policies. He then started his medical transportation company in 2001, and a couple of years later, in 2003, he opened a school bus company.
In no time, Sayed was running over one hundred buses, all of which he owned, and continued to run a successful business in years to come. In 2007, he left his position at Colgate-Palmolive and sold some of his buses, to fund his new business venture. He then opened a Research and Development Lab to formulate his products.
His laboratory aimed to produce products geared towards consumers who were not always able to obtain the products which they needed. While at Colgate-Palmolive, Sayed noticed that there were many individuals, namely Muslims, Jews, vegans, as well as people suffering from celiac disease who required oral care products which met their faith and lifestyle requirements. He found that major companies just didn't cater for such minorities.

In 2015, the construction of his manufacturing facility was completed. Sayed then launched his product, SprinJene, which is Halal, kosher, and vegan-friendly, gluten-free toothpaste. It also has the added benefits of having anti-inflammatory, anti-cancerous, and anti-bacterial properties.
Sayed also ensured that only natural ingredients were used in the production of the toothpaste, and not harsh chemicals. He uses top quality ingredients, and SprinJene is the only patent-pending toothpaste made in the US to include black seed oil, otherwise known as Nigella Sativa.
SprinJene is already available in one hundred stores across ten states in the US, selling mostly in ethnic stores, health stores and pharmacies. It can be ordered from the SprinJene website and is also available on Amazon.com. Sayed hopes to expand the market to include Walmart, Walgreens, and Shoprite in the US. He has also begun expansion in the international market and has opened a distribution center in Dubai.
