Life has zoomed by with all its ups and downs, challenges and triumphs. Now during this next phase, I want to be more present with Him who created us. I want to walk, run, skip, hop, jump, toward the Light and Love of Allah and I would like to do this with someone who is also living a life ... In pursuit of more knowledge--I seek a seeker who wants to learn more of our deen, more arabic, more Quran. Describe your perfect weekend.
I will describe a weekend that I just spent with my children and grandchildren. It was wonderful. We drove to a nearby pier and walked the pier. There we stopped and enjoyed an outdoor education center where we were able to touch mollusks and crabs etc. We went out to eat and I found a quiet space to do some reading. The next day we went to a different park and hiked several miles to the beach. The children made a "house out of drift wood" and, I , of course helped.

How important is someone's physical appearance to you?
Healthy looking is important to me--and that can mean within whatever natural limits exist.
What is the purpose of marriage?
Marriage is the laboratory for the refinement of the human soul.
What is the most important lesson that you've learned?
That life is characterized by impermanence and that we must go with the flow of change to find contentment and joy.
What do your friends like about you most?
That I listen.
What gets on your nerves?
Chronic complaining.
What is the most important thing in a relationship?
Commitment to Allah, personal growth and the relationship itself.
What do you hope to be doing five years from now?
I hope to be able to read Arabic fluently, to have memorized several Juz and to have published a book or two or three.
