Looking for my other half

The hardest thing to do is write myself up, its so awkward but here it goes, kinda....I was born and raised in New York City. I am the oldest of eight. I have five sisters and two brothers who are all unique and lovely and at times drive me crazy but I love them dearly. Islam is very important to me as it has guided me throughout my life. I think of myself as a moderate in my religious views. I became a hijabi when I was twelve years old and am committed to it but I believe there has to be a mix of work and play in life. I love to sing along to my music as I'm cooking. Ok here goes a guily admission I am a geek (shhh, dont tell) I love all marvel comic movies and all things Doctor Who and because I am a girl I love my romance novels too . If you were to ask my friends they would say I have two sides to my personality one is that I am a cool nerd. The other i was recently told I had to add this is a modern day metroplitan hijabi. I'm the type of person who loves to help people solve their problems. I really enjoy cooking and feeding others. I'm a little reserved with people I don't know but I am very loyal to those close friends I have. I enjoy laughing but not at the expense of others I guess that's kind of who I am on a personal level

Insights
Describe your perfect weekend.
Spent with a few friends relaxing with a good meal. A walk in brisk weather through the park then finding a coffee shop to sit and talk.
How many kids would you like to have?
I come from a large family and would like to have children with a partner who is also interested in raising a family but I am also ok with not having children of my own but maybe adopting.
How important is someone's physical appearance to you?
I think there should be a mutual attraction but having a GQ cover worthy husband isn't important to me. I would prefer my future husband be taller than me though :)
What is the purpose of marriage?
Marriage is a safe place to be myself with someone who wants to share the journey. I don't believe in sunshine and rainbows that appear. We will have to endure the rain to get there. I think marriage is finding someone who wants to share the umbrella.
What is the most important lesson that you've learned?
How we handle failures and not getting what we want are the best lessons in life. I prefer not to wallow in misery but rethink my direction and move on with life.
What do your friends like about you most?
I am blessed with amazing friends. they love me because I listen to them, tell them they are wrong and feed them good food. :)
What gets on your nerves?
Insincere people annoy me. I prefer that if you don't like me just say so and just forget the drama.
What is the most important thing in a relationship?
Respecting each other even when you disagree. Men and Women are inherently different we view the world differently.
