I am a positive Muslima who loves spending time with people and I'm very socially orientated. I am a hard-working individual who loves learning new things and I would say I am quite ambitious. There is so much I would still like to do and see and would like to enjoy this with my life long companion in this world and the next. Ameen. I am looking for someone who observes the basics of Islam and who views Islam as a blessing. Someone down-to-earth, kind, forgiving and who feels they can be themselves. Describe your perfect weekend.
I like to relax or spend time with friends or family. I also like volunteering when an opportunity arises. This way, I feel I have done something worthwhile and also a good chance to meet new people who are inspiring.
I love spending time with my family, who are very supportive and also with friends.
How many kids would you like to have?
Debatable as I'm 38 years old but if Allah permits it would be nice to have 4.
How important is someone's physical appearance to you?
To an extent yes, but I'm not looking for a Valentio model type. I think attraction is interesting because I do not have a set type but there has to be some chemistry.
Chemistry does not need to be instant and I believe this is something that develop.
What is the purpose of marriage?
Allah has kindly allowed us to enjoy happiness and sanctuary in marriage which he will bless Inshallah. I resisted marriage for a long time but now cannot wait.
What is the most important lesson that you've learned?
I think that one of life's best lesson is that when we sit and pray to Allah we normally ask him for what we want but not what we need. I have found that Allah has granted me what I wanted but have come to understand that he knows what is best for me and I should trust in him.
It is also better to forgive then to carry on with a heavy load of grudges.
What do your friends like about you most?
My friends like the fact I am calm, warm, friendly and very helpful.
What gets on your nerves?
Narrow-minded people, selfishness, cruelty and most of all injustice.
As for the small things:
- People who play really loud thumping music at 7am when I am still half asleep!!
What is the most important thing in a relationship?
Trust and respect. If I do not respect my husband then things will be very difficult.
Love and affection are very important in a relationship as well as friendship. I think also being a source of comfort to each other is important as well.
What do you hope to be doing five years from now?
I would like to be a teacher, own my language school, have 4 children and be in a happy blessed marriage. Ameen and Allah knows what is best.
