Hey...Is It You?

As salaamu alaikum. Here's a bit about me and who I'm looking for...I love good food, laughter, good food, a good movie and good company and did I mention that I'm a bit of a foodie? I'm a mother of 2 adult children and being a grandmother brings me joy! I try to maintain a positive attitude and surround myself with others who do the same. I'm no scholar in Islam, but I'm striving be a better Muslim. I have a bit of an entrepreneurial spirit and I'm an independent woman but I'm a woman in every sense of the word. I've been waiting for the man who loves Allah and knows how to have balance. He can embrace my independent spirit but understands his duty as husband as well as how to connect with my womanhood. He understands that communication is key. He'll spoil me with love and affection and stimulate my mind and spirit as I'll do the same for him. He wants to share Islam with me as we strive in this deen and in this life together. If you're serious, let's learn a little more about each other. Hey... is it you?

Insights
Describe your perfect weekend.
Date night on Friday doing any number of things as long as it includes good food and my guy. Praying Fajr with my husband, sleeping in, then waking to breakfast starts my Saturday. I'd really love it if we shared interests that we could pursue together; but I'm okay exploring separate interests as long as we save time & energy for one another. We can chill (order in, watching movies, cuddling, whatever) and Sunday dinner which may include our families.
How many kids would you like to have?
I've graduated to Grandmother. I'm not looking to have more children, but I could be open to the right scenario with someone who has children...we can discuss that further.
How important is someone's physical appearance to you?
It's important. I believe people should always be the best representation of themselves. While I wouldn't mind someone who's built like an athlete or dresses like a model, my ideal guy is loyal, has a heart as pure as his keen sense of style and is at least somewhat health conscious.
What is the purpose of marriage?
Marriage completes half our deen and provides protection from and the comfort of many things. Let's talk about that...I'm looking forward to the protection and comfort that marriage provides ;)
What is the most important lesson that you've learned?
Making self-care a priority is the best thing you can do for you and those you love.
What do your friends like about you most?
People have said that I'm genuine and they know that they can trust me.
What gets on your nerves?
Poor/non-communication, arrogance, negativity and DISHONESTY.
What is the most important thing in a relationship?
Honesty, communication, moral support & balance.
What do you hope to be doing five years from now?
I hope to be happily married, growing my business and continuing to grow in Islam.
