It's that time again when Muslims around the world begin the Ramadan fast continuing for a month until July. Throughout the duration of the holy month, Muslim women throughout the world will be able to carry out their month long tradition in style, with the DKNY Ramadan Collection, which has been a great success over the past couple of years. DKNY has expanded its collections, including a Middle East website for her Middle Eastern clients. So, you can enjoy your quiet days and festivities throughout the evening while still looking your best.
Ramadan may be a holy month dedicated to fasting, but Muslims also celebrate this time with "a joyous spirit." Many devote their time to helping the poor and donating to charities, and do not focus too much on themselves. However, in Muslim countries, purchasing clothing for yourself and your family during the holy month is considered to be "an act which can accrue blessings" because it is done at such a time.
Donna Karan has created her designs for the collection, such that they carry her signature style, yet are still appropriate for the month of Ramadan, and that they adhere to Shariah Law. The collection was created along with the talents of two Middle Eastern women in the fashion industry, whose inspiring designs gave this collection the appropriate, yet stylish look which they were wanting. Yalda Golsharifi, who is based in LA and Kuwait as a fashion editor, and Tamara Al Gabbani, designer and TV presenter from Dubai.
So what can we expect from her Ramadan Collection? Ladies, you will be able to enjoy wearing long, flowing pieces with stylish cuts and beautiful fabrics which make the DKNY fashion brand so exquisite. The collections have used "bold prints" and elegant silhouettes, in saffron and navy. Lovely jumpsuits with high necklines and low hemlines have been popular with this collection in previous years and are just gorgeous. You will also find the long, flowing "maxi-dress" from this collection to be just right for your Iftar celebrations. While, during the daytime, draping cardigans and printed casual pants may seem a better fit.
Let's hope that this year's Ramadan Collection will be as popular amongst Middle Eastern women, as it has been since its launch in 2014. For those of you who love your designer brands, having such a limited edition collection available in the Middle East means you won't have to join the "Ramadan Rush" and flock to the fashion capitals of the world. Before the holy month begins you can enjoy some leisurely shopping within your region and take it easy. There are now eight DKNY stores located within the Middle East.
